SCO/SCI Solution Architect - SAP Supply Chain

We are looking for an experienced SCO/SCI Solution Architect to join the discovery phase of a strategic supply chain transformation programme for a global FMCG client.

The programme focuses on integrating and consolidating the Order-to-Cash processes and supply chain system landscapes of two organizations. The discovery team will define the target architecture, identify key dependencies and prepare the roadmap for a wider transformation involving OMS, TMS, SAP ERP/S/4HANA, 3PL partners and 10+ warehouse management systems.

Your role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain process and solution architecture, covering the flow from order capture through fulfilment, warehousing, transportation and final delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • analysing the existing supply chain processes and system landscapes of both organizations;
  • designing the target end-to-end flow from order capture through fulfilment and delivery;
  • defining the functional relationships between OMS, TMS, SAP ERP/S/4HANA, WMS solutions, carriers and 3PL partners;
  • ensuring consistency between business processes, system architecture and integration requirements;
  • assessing opportunities to standardize and consolidate processes across both organizations;
  • identifying functional gaps, dependencies, risks and key architectural decisions;
  • defining architecture principles and supporting the preparation of target operating scenarios;
  • leading or supporting discovery sessions and cross-functional architecture workshops;
  • evaluating solution options and preparing clear recommendations for business and technology stakeholders;
  • contributing to the programme roadmap, critical path and implementation approach;
  • working closely with the OMS/TMS Solution Architect, Integration Architect, SAP teams and business process owners.

Who/what we're looking for

  • Senior Solution Architect with strong experience in SAP Supply Chain and Order-to-Cash;
  • broad understanding of order management, order fulfilment, warehouse operations, transportation and 3PL processes;
  • experience designing end-to-end solutions across SAP SD, MM, EWM/WM, TM or related logistics domains;
  • practical knowledge of integration between SAP ERP/S/4HANA and external OMS, TMS or WMS platforms;
  • experience working on large international transformation, rollout or consolidation programmes;
  • ability to assess complex landscapes and translate business needs into scalable target solutions;
  • experience leading discovery sessions, fit-gap workshops and architecture discussions;
  • ability to identify cross-system dependencies, risks and critical design decisions;
  • strong stakeholder management and communication skills;
  • fluent English.

We are looking for a broad, process-oriented architect rather than a specialist focused on one SAP module only. The successful candidate should understand how decisions in order management, warehousing and transportation affect the complete Order-to-Cash process.

Nice to have

  • experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, SAP TM, SAP IBP or SAP BTP;
  • experience integrating external WMS solutions and 3PL operators with SAP;
  • knowledge of OMS or distributed order management solutions;
  • experience with carrier collaboration, transportation planning and shipment visibility;
  • background in FMCG, consumer goods, retail, manufacturing or distribution;
  • experience in system and process consolidation following a merger or acquisition;
  • experience defining global templates and multi-country rollout roadmaps.

Project details

  • Start: 1 September 2026
  • Initial discovery phase: approximately three months
  • Wider programme: OMS/TMS integration and 10+ WMS integrations planned over approximately two years
  • Engagement: full-time or part-time
  • Contract: B2B
  • Location: remote
  • Travel: possible one-week face-to-face discovery workshop; location to be confirmed

If you have experience connecting Order-to-Cash, warehouse and transportation processes into one scalable supply chain architecture, we would be happy to speak with you.
